Die Geschichte

Pilztroll-Miniatur - Late Night Miniatures

Deep beneath the world in the sunless Rot-Weald, the cave troll ruled as an unstoppable predator. His massive body healed from nearly any wound, and for years he hunted the tunnels like a savage king, devouring anything unlucky enough to cross his path.

His downfall came when hunger drove him into the sealed Mirevault, an ancient cavern infested with parasitic Deep-Myconids. He ate the colony whole, expecting an easy meal. Instead the fungus invaded from within, threading through his organs and spine to claim him as its host. But he did not die.

His regeneration fought the infection to a standstill, and the two fused into a single creature, neither fully alive nor fully controlled. Grummok still tries to talk to travellers in a gravelly mix of troll grunts and hive-minded rambling, blurting out things like NO STEP ON GLOW MUSHROOM entirely out of nowhere. With enough patience, most adventurers work out what he actually means.
