A full day of Magic: The Gathering – playing, trading and opening The Hobbit boosters. Whether you're a hardcore cEDH player, love relaxed Commander, prefer classic Standard or want to open packs and build a deck on the spot, there's a format for you. Every The Hobbit booster at the event is valued at €5, and the entry fee is just €2–3 – we want everyone to be able to come. Boosters, accessories and drinks are also available at our stand.

The dragon's hoard – collect tokens all day
Every player gets a treasure pouch at registration. All day long you collect dragon tokens: for every game played, wins, a game with someone you didn't know, solved riddles, joining our Discord or newsletter, and buying 3+ boosters at the stand. Tokens count across all formats, Pack Wars and open play.
At the end of the day, around 21:00, the three biggest hoards win:
- 🥇 1st place: a large 3D-printed dragon figure in a gold finish
- 🥈 2nd place: a 3D-printed dwarf king figure in a silver finish
- 🥉 3rd place: a 3D-printed hobbit figure in a bronze finish
During the day we also hand out smaller prizes: 3D-printed rings of power, dice, engraved tokens and other handmade bits from our workshop.
Example challenges
- Riddles in the dark: the first correct answer earns a token (first one at 12:00, then every hour)
- Dragon fire: win a game with commander damage
- One life left: survive and win on 1 life
- Unexpected guest: play a format you haven't played yet today
- Best deck of the day: the best-themed Commander deck (voted by players)

Times are a guide; the final schedule per format is published a week before the event.
What's included and what to bring
- Pick up the boosters from your ticket at registration (we don't ship them).
- For Sealed and Smaug's Hoard we provide the basic lands.
- For cEDH, Casual and Standard bring your own deck and sleeves – sleeves, deck boxes and dice are also on sale at the stand.
- Drinks and snacks are available on site, and food is right nearby.
FAQ
Can I play more than one format? Yes, as long as the times don't overlap (e.g. Standard in the morning and Smaug's Hoard in the evening). Buy a separate ticket for each format.
Buying for a friend? Add each player's name in the order note.
Refunds? Tickets for an event on a fixed date are not subject to the standard 14-day right of withdrawal under applicable law. If the organiser cancels the event, buyers keep their statutory right to a refund. You can transfer your ticket to another player by letting us know in advance.
Is this an official Wizards of the Coast event? No, it's an independently organised community Magic: The Gathering event by Vault of Delights.
