Ironshell Ymirling fantastične minijature
The Ymirlings grow their shells, and a shell is a record of everything the wearer has survived.
They are not armour in the way the southern smiths mean it. An Ymirling's plate thickens where it has been struck and thins where it has not, so a veteran reads as a topography of old mistakes — heavy across one shoulder, scarred along one flank, and entirely unbalanced in ways that tell a practised enemy exactly where not to aim. The young ones are smooth and symmetrical, which is how you know to be careful of them for a different reason.
They do not decorate the shells. There is already enough on them.
Ironshell wants layered work — build the plate up in uneven passes so the thickness reads visually, and keep the flesh beneath it pale and unarmoured-looking.
