The story

Bugbear Barbarian Miniature

Bugbear barbarians are quiet, which is the part that ruins people.

The size is not the problem. The problem is that something that large moves through a wood without making a sound, and the first indication a party gets is usually the last thing that happens in the encounter. Bugbears are ambush predators who have been misfiled for generations as brutes, largely because the survivors' accounts are all written by people who never saw the approach.

They are not stupid, they are not loud, and they do not charge.

Coarse fur and heavy muscle — work the coat in directional layers, keep the gear scavenged and mismatched, and resist putting a single bright colour anywhere on the model.
